Hire Controller - Wheatley, Oxfordshire

Role Description

As our Hire Controller, you'll be at the forefront of our operations, managing the rental process from start to finish with precision and care. Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Coordinating plant and tool rentals, from initial customer inquiries to equipment returns, ensuring a seamless and efficient process.

  • Providing friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, helping them select the right tools for their projects and offering guidance on usage and safety.

  • Keeping meticulous records of tool availability, reservations, and schedules to ensure our fleet is always up-to-date and in top condition.

  • Collaborating closely with our workshop to ensure tools are inspected, serviced, and ready for hire, maintaining our high standards of quality and reliability.

  • Addressing any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally, ensuring their satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hire control, customer service, or a related field, preferably within the tool or equipment rental industry.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and helpful demeanour.

  • A willing to learn and grow with us. A ‘can do’ attitude, geared towards customer service.

  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

Role Description
As our Driver, you'll be at the forefront of our delivery operation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery and Collection:

    • Safely load, transport, and unload tool hire equipment to and from customer locations.

    • Ensure all deliveries and collections are made in a timely manner and in accordance with company schedules.

  • Vehicle Maintenance:

    • Perform daily vehicle inspections and routine maintenance checks.

    • Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and complies with all safety and legal requirements.

  • Customer Service:

    • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and concerns during deliveries and collections.

    • Demonstrate and provide guidance on the proper use of hire equipment when required.

  • Documentation:

    • Accurately complete all delivery and collection paperwork.

    • Maintain logs of working hours and vehicle mileage in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

  • Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and procedures.

    • Ensure all tool hire equipment is secured properly during transportation.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous driving experience is preferred, not essential

  • A willing to learn and grow with us. A ‘can do’ attitude, geared towards customer service.

  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our customers.

  • Full UK driving license
